The Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM) has prepared an “Interim Implementation Document” for addressing House Enrollment Act (HEA) 1162. HEA 1162 was legislation passed in July 2009 that included several significant changes for sites involved in clean-up programs in Indiana. IDEM drafted the HEA 1162 Interim Implementation Document to assist its staff, consultants and responsible parties on how to implement the new laws with respect to the current Risk-Integrated System of Closure (RISC) Guidance documents. These important changes will impact your ongoing closure projects. In addition, other current issues associated with the Office of Land Quality at IDEM will be presented.
