August Mack Environmental developed eCAP® (Compliance Assurance Program) in 1999 based on the needs of our clients. At the time, corporations were downsizing resulting in the following:
- Loss of institutional knowledge
- Lack of regulatory justification
- Need for improved efficiency
- Significant cost and effort in re-training
Additionally, our clients indicated they were spending a great deal of time and money to stay abreast of ever-changing regulations.
Listening to our clients, August Mack reviewed traditional consulting procedures and evaluated the "true" cost of compliance for our clients. (In 1999, the U.S. Small Business Administration reported that environmental compliance cost a manufacturing facility between $1,800 and $4,000 per employee per year.) As a result of the needs of our clients, eCAP® was developed as an environmental, health and safety compliance outsourcing service.
Today, more than 60 facilities utilize eCAP® to manage their day-to-day environmental, health and safety compliance needs.
