Excellent Free Webinar

August Mack Environmental is offering a free webinar on Groundwater and Contaminate Migration. Groundwater contamination can significantly hinder real estate transactions and extend the length of time and cost of obtaining “closure” from a regulatory agency. Sources of groundwater contamination include releases from underground storage tanks and chemical spills. The most common groundwater contaminants are those associated with petroleum products, degreasing operations, painting and dry cleaning. Once in groundwater, contaminants can migrate away from the source of the release, and potentially impact off-site properties. Environmental concerns associated with migrating contaminated groundwater include impact to drinking water sources, discharge to surface waters, and the migration of vapors from the groundwater contaminant plume into overlying structures (vapor intrusion). In this webinar, August Mack will provide a summary of groundwater flow and contaminant migration concepts, and will provide a discussion regarding approaches for managing and/or remediating groundwater impacts. In addition, the important implications for property owners and off-site property owners impacted by migrating contamination will be discussed. To sign up, CLICK HERE  to access the registration.
