Here at August Mack Environmental, we believe in a four step approach to implementing sustainable business strategies. In my last post on sustainability solutions, I outlined our four step approach. Today, I want to focus on the third step in this process: Sustainability Plan Implementation and Tracking.

During this step, the actual implementation of your company's sustainability plan occurs. In most facilities, the implementation process is structured to go after the "lowest hanging fruit" first in order to achieve a quick win in the beginning of the process. Once the "low hanging fruit" items have been implemented, most companies turn their attention to tackling long-term sustainability solutions. Throughout the implementation process, it is vital to track your results. This will help your company determine the effectiveness of your sustainability plan.
