Asbestos is a naturally occurring fibrous material that was widely used due to its resistance to heat and chemicals. Because of these properties, it has been used in the manufacturing of a variety of building materials including, but not limited to: insulation, roofing shingles, drywall, ceiling & floor tiles, mastics and so on.
