The Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) is an EPA program designed to ensure safe management of hazardous waste in order to prevent harm to human or environmental health. RCRA regulates proper generation, treatement, storage, and disposal of hazardous waste. Because RCRA tracks the entire lifespan of hazardous waste, it is known as a "cradle to grave" system.
