February 16 Webinar

Be sure to register in advance for the August Mack webinar on Thursday, February 16th titled "Background Contaminants." You can visit the registration form on the August Mack website to sign up for this free webinar. Background levels of certain contaminants, particularly metals and some organic constituents, can play a significant role when evaluating subsurface data collected from a site. Some constituents, such as arsenic, are very common in native soil and groundwater and are also common contaminants at sites. Therefore, trying to differentiate naturally occurring compounds from widespread anthropogenic sources (such as historic emissions) and site-specific sources can be challenging. In this webinar, August Mack will discuss general information regarding background contaminants. Included in this discussion will be some published generic background concentration ranges and approaches for evaluating background conditions.
