Environmental Compliance 101

The initial notifications of hazardous waste activity in the 1980s were due as a result of regulations developed to implement the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA). This presentation will review the requirements for the initial notification of regulated waste activity including new requirements for notification regarding universal waste activities, used oil activities and management of hazardous secondary materials. The requirements for submitting a subsequent notification of regulated waste activity will also be reviewed including what triggers the requirement for a subsequent notification and the deadline for submission.
