Environmental Compliance 101

Process Safety Management (PSM) is a topic being actively discussed based on OSHA’s recent initiative to ensure compliance. PSM is detailed in 29 CFR 1910.119 and requires facilities to maintain an active program for facilities storing greater than 10,000 pounds of flammable material or facilities storing materials in various quantities that are included on the Highly Hazardous Chemicals (HHC) list. From Process Safety Information to Mechanical Integrity, August Mack will provide information on all of the 14 elements required under PSM as well as the HHC that are laid out by OSHA. We will also discuss recent letters of interpretation and various facility strategies employed to address the regulation.
