Environmental and Safety Compliance

Most companies make the news for violating regulations, but a company in Mandan, North Dakota made headlines for their excellence in compliance.  Tesoro Petroleum refinery was recently designated as a "star" site, which is the highest level of recognition by OSHA.  They were applauded for their excellence in job safety and health.  "The employees, their union, and the company have analyzed workplace hazards, trained employees and contractors to prevent hazards, and held themselves to a high standard of performance," said Greg Baxter, OSHA's regional administrator in Denver, Colorado.  To read the full article, click here.
