Safety: Lockout/Tagout

Tuesday, March 9, 2010 by Tom Anderson
If your facility is performing maintenance on machines, you should have a lockout / tagout (LO/TO) program in place. Part of the requirement of having a properly developed program is to do an annual review of the program. One of the many aspects that would be reviewed during a safety compliance audit is looking at the LO/TO program.

Since many injuries are a result of not having an effective LO/TO program, take a hard look to ensure that you have an effective program that protects your employees. Call me (317.916.3105) if you need a safety specialist to help out.
