Second Time a Success

Monday, July 23, 2012 by Tom Anderson

As I mentioned in last week's blog, I was making another attempt to complete the 161-mlle one day bike ride across Indiana on July 21, 2012. This time around I avoided any crashes and fared much better than last year. The group I rode with averaged 16.7 mph while on the bike and we took a number of rest stops along with a lunch break. And we only had one flat tire throughout the trip so we didn't have to spend a lot of time with repairs. Upon the completion of the event at Earlham College in Richmond, Indiana, we were able to change clothes and relax with the people that helped support our endeavor. Upon returning to work today, my co-workers had a congratulatory card waiting at my desk. Thanks to everyone!!!
