I live in Iowa and have reason to believe laws regarding asbestos are not being followed-and literally ignored by our city and our state. How does a group of concerned citizens instigate an investigation?

Ajai, If you have concerns about asbestos regulations in your area, the best place to start is your local air quality department. In Iowa, it's the Department of Natural Resources: Air Quality Bureau. Looks like there is a manager of compliance for the state that you can readily contact with questions or concerns at the following http://www.iowadnr.gov/air/contact/aqasbros.html. Thanks for your question.
