There are three types of asbestos most commonly utilized in building materials:

  • Chrysotile - Most common type. Used in more than 90 percent of building materials that contain asbestos. White curly fibers.
  • Amosite - Second most common type of asbestos in building materials. Brown in color.
  • Crocidolite - Blue in color, this type of asbestos is commonly used in high temperature applications.

Comments for 3 Types of Asbestos

Chrysotile(温石棉)、Amosite(铁石棉)and Crocidolite(青石棉). we should pay much attention to the damanges resulting from exposure of abestos. however in China there's no any regulation for any kind of abestos. in the practices of ESA, we oftern recommend the clients to carry out the abestos survey to determine if abesto exists there, then do the bulk samples.
