Environmental Transaction Screen Assessments (TSA - No, not the Transportation Security Administration)

The scope of work for the TSA was designed to comply with the standards and protocols set forth in the ASTM standard designation E-1528-06. The purpose of the TSA is to provide a cost-effective means of identifying potential environmental due diligence concerns as defined in the ASTM standard. The TSA is a tool for identifying any current or past potential environmental due diligence concerns at low-risk sites or other sites for which CERCLA liability is not a concern.

The TSA consists of a review of at least two historical documents that are most likely to account for historical usage of the study site, a visit to observe site conditions, an environmental database records review, completion of environmental questionnaires and a summary of findings. Following the completion of these activities, a TSA report is issued for the property.
