Ohio's Cessation of Regulated Operations

Monday, April 19, 2010 by August Mack Environmental, Inc.
Because the state of Ohio recognizes facility abandonment as a precursor to the creation of a Superfund site, the State created the Cessation of Regulated Operations (CRO) program in 1996. Today, perhaps because of an increase in facility closings related to the economy, the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency appears to be bringing an increased focus to the CRO program. This webinar will review why this regulation came about, who is regulated and what the regulations require if you close your facility either permanently or temporarily.
