If you have been following this blog series, you are probably wondering, "Why is the home of August Mack's corporate office called 'The Buick' building?" The 3-story, 54,000 square foot building, was originally constructed in 1923 as a showroom for General Motors’ Buick automobiles, and is listed in the Indiana Register of Historic Sites and Structures.
When The Buick was recently updated for tenant/office use by Shiel Sexton, the building was renovated with the lofty goal of obtaining LEED-CI Gold Certification from the U.S. Green Building Council. To learn more, click here.
