After talking with the personnel at the facility I gain an understanding of why they are not adhering to the regulations. In the vast majority of cases, it is nothing more than they didn't...

How Do You Measure Noise Levels

Monday, May 10, 2010 by Health and Safety Account Team
Two devices that measure noise exposure include a sound level meter and the dosimeter. A sound level meter measures the intensity of sound at a given moment. A dosimeter is like a sound level meter except it stores sound level measurements and integrates these measurements over time. This provides an average noise exposure reading for a given period of time.  If you are utilizing these devices, make sure to calibrate the instruments.

Renewable Energy Credits Going Out of Style

Monday, April 12, 2010 by Sustainable Solutions Team
One of the leading purchasers of renewable energy credits in U.S. is scaling back the practice. Instead of purchasing renewable energy PepsiCo has decided instead to invest the money into on-site renewable energy projects.

Technology has changed, incentives are developing and it is making more sense for companies to invest in on-site renewable energy projects. Companies are taking advantage of solar and wind to capture the once "unused" energy source. They are investing in windmills or installing...

Environmental Housekeeping

Monday, April 12, 2010 by eCAP Account Team
Do yourself a favor and institute good housekeeping practices related to your environmental programs. Spills should be addressed and cleaned up immediately.
