Industries must look at material use more strategically in the future. Mis-allocated materials is wasteful, but not always more expensive. Businesses must look beyond only the monetary profit side of strategic material use and look at the health and environmental profit gained from sustainable material use. Consumers must also reconsider what they buy, how much they buy, and what they throw away.
