Think About the Future

Friday, March 16, 2012 by Sustainable Solutions Team

Sometimes the answer may be "yes" and sometimes "no" but the key is to weigh all the factors.

Why Should I Hire a Consultant to Conduct an Audit?

Wednesday, October 19, 2011 by Marketing Department
Hiring an environmental compliance consultant will add credibility to your result in the eyes of your external stakeholders. These individuals or firms usually have an already established relationship with the environmental governing bodies and are knowledgeable in how to submit reports correctly.

If you suspect a violation may be present or you become aware that a facility should have been complying with a law but has not, a consultant can come in and offer environmental compliance solutions.

Asbestos: Let the Experts Handle It!

Tuesday, April 5, 2011 by Tom Anderson

A man in Auburn, Washington disregarded Clean Air Act regulations by knowingly letting untrained workers remove asbestos from a building.  He ended up with a 30-day prison sentence and a $100,000 fine. Don’t let this happen to you! If you have asbestos that needs to be removed let the experts handle it. It is not only illegal but also hazardous to human health if someone other than a certified professional removes asbestos. This is because once asbestos fibers get into the air they can be...

Tuesday, March 8, 2011 by Tom Anderson

The EPA's Toxics Release Inventory (TRI) Program requires that industries report annually on the release of over 600 toxic chemicals. These chemicals are released to the air, land, and/or water.   The reports are posted online for the public to view so that communities can see what is being released into their environments. To learn more about reporting or viewing TRI data, visit the EPA's TRI Program webpage by clicking here.

Tuesday, January 18, 2011 by Tom Anderson
If your facility is performing maintenance on machines, you should have a lockout / tagout (LO/TO) program in place. Call Tom Anderson  (317.916.3105) if you need a safety specialist to help out.

Exit Routes

Monday, January 3, 2011 by Health and Safety Account Team
Think about if a emergency or fire happened at your facility, can the employees safely exit the facility? It is a requirement of the regulatory standards to provide safe exits. Preparing for a Safety Audit

Tuesday, December 14, 2010 by Health and Safety Account Team

In preparing for an audit, you must first select the members of the audit team. Having people on the team that are experts with the OSHA regulations should quickly narrow down the logical choices. This is another reason to consider outside resources since many companies do not have personnel that focus solely on this area of expertise. You can include non-experts on the audit team to add another perspective. This member should be provided with the goal of the audit and be inherently inquisitive...
